Upcoming concerts

Our first concert of the 2026/27 season will be held at 7.30pm on Saturday 19th September 2026 at The Multi-Faith Centre, University of Derby when the Aquinas Piano Trio (plus Matthew Kettle (viola) and Mary Scully (double bass))  will be performing. This will be a joint concert with our friends, Music at Duffield.

The programme will be:

Rossini  – Duo for Cello and Double Bass in D Major

Schubert  – String Trio in B flat D.471

Beethoven  –   Sonata  No. 5 in F major  Op. 24(Spring)

Interval 

Schubert Quintet in A major (Trout) D. 667

Subsequent concerts for the season will be held on: 

Sunday 4th October 2026 at 4pm at The Multi-Faith Centre, University of Derby

Lizzie Ball (violin) and James Pearson (piano)

Sunday 15th November 2026 at 4pm at The Multi-Faith Centre, University of Derby

The Linden Ensemble (voice, piano, clarinet)

Sunday 14th February 2027 (date tbc) at 4pm at The Multi-Faith Centre, University of Derby

Young Artist Recital, Edward Warner (piano)

Sunday 7th March 2027 at 4pm at The Multi-Faith Centre, University of Derby. This will be the second of two concerts covering all Beethoven’s five cello sonatas. It is to mark the 200th anniversary of his death. The first concert will be presented by Music at Duffield on Saturday 6th March at 7.00pm. The concert will include an introductory talk.
